Bringing New Life To Failed Projects
Clean water is experiencing another crisis. projects are failing and no one is fixing them. What was once keeping communities healthy now lays abandonded. But together, we can bring new life to these projects through rehabilitation, management, and community planning.
The Issue
Many rural clean water points, especially hand pumps, were installed without putting the communities capacity and the NGOs goals into account. Organizations rushed through to complete as many projects as possible causing no maintenance or inpections to be compelted. Poor quality mateials, improper solution solving, and lack of community expertise resulted in the system failing, some being abandonded for years.
The Solution
MissionCleanWater has built their capacity to be the primary responder for restoration efforts in the North Central region of Uganda. By focusing on rehabilitation, we can ensure key districts have a 100% functionality rate of all rural clean water points. This includes installing the highest quality of materials, providing professional management, and working with communities to avoid any future breakdowns.
