Bringing New Life To Failed Projects
There is a problem we have witnessed first-hand far too many times. Well-intentioned clean water projects—planned too quickly or lacking proper oversight—fail and become nothing more than a landmark of what used to be.
MissionCleanWater was created to change this. We provide the training and resources necessary for communities to maintain their water systems for years to come.
We believe in a future where everyone has access to safe drinking water. Let’s make it a reality.
The Problem
Many rural clean water points––especially hand pumps––were installed without considering the community’s unique needs. Organizations often rush to complete as many projects as possible, resulting in critical oversights. Poor materials, inadequate training, and lack of organization all contribute to system failures and abandonment.tem failing, some being abandonded for years.
The Solution
Since 2019, MissionCleanWater has put its grassroots values into action by creating or rehabilitating water projects for over 49 communities, 50,000 residents, and 5,000 students across North Central Uganda.
Our water projects are equitably distributed throughout communities and built using high-quality materials with professional management. We help train and organize local communities, including the establishment of locally governed Water User Committees.
