Lynn’s Ultra Debut

Why We Run The Lincoln100

Lynn Swezey is a New England–based runner, hiker, climber, photographer, and community advocate taking on her first ultra distance at the Lincoln 100. Drawn to the mountains and motivated by purpose, she approaches this effort with heart, grit, and a deep connection to the community behind the race.

Lynn became involved with Mission CleanWater in 2025, through the close-knit community of friends surrounding Chris Roma. Through that connection, and her volunteer activities in NH, she has helped organize local events that honor Chris’s legacy and others who have lost their lives in the mountains, turning loss into action, education, and support.

Through the Lincoln 100, she hopes to bring awareness and understanding to the vital mission of providing clean water resources around the world.

A newer runner, Lynn has completed all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4,000-footers and explored parts of California’s Eastern Sierra. She crewed the last two Lincoln 100s, learned the race from the inside out, and now steps onto the course herself for her ultra debut.

Lynn is a beaming mom to Collin, 20, who attends woodworking school in northern Vermont. That grounding and soul-strengthening role continues to shape how she shows up for others. She is also a proud Veteran of the CT Army National Guard, and off the trail, she currently works as a photographer and the Membership Director for a technology-based trade association. The Lincoln 100 is her first ultra starting line, and also the first of many more to come.

Why Water?

MissionCleanWater exists to bring this basic human necessity to people who still live without it—one community at a time.

When a community gains clean water, it’s more than a new source: it means dignity, fewer water-borne illnesses, and hours of life returned each day. It also means more kids in classrooms instead of walking miles for water.

That’s why we walk and run—to step into their reality, and help change it.
