September 18th, 2021
Cumberland, Maryland
2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run
To many, Sascha Edelkraut is already an Ironman, as he is a stellar human being that cares for his family and friends. Sascha can be seen active in the Latin dance scene, teaching his friends how to love the outdoors, or cooking for everyone. His friends often wonder, “Sascha, what are you bad at?” Sascha is taking up the physical and mental challenge of becoming a literal Ironman, one of the hardest endurance achievements.
Completing an Ironman would be impossible without having clean water. This is why Sascha is dedicated to raising $1,500 towards MissionCleanWater’s clean water efforts.
An Iron Man
An Ironman is considered one of the most challenging physical accomplishments. It’s a mental and physical battle lasting up to 15 hours of three stages.
2.4 Mile Swim
Start off with an open body of water swim. That’s like doing 169 laps at your local pool.
112 Mile Bike
Completing 100 miles is a lifetime accomplishment, now do 12 more after swimming so much.
26.2 Mile Run (Marathon)
Now go run a marathon.
Why Clean Water?
Completing an Ironman would not be possible without clean water. Sascha is going to dedicate his Ironman to make sure more people in the world can have access to clean water. Help him reach his goal of $1,500. This will enable 50 households to have clean water for a lifetime.
