Dan Oliver: Seeing Our World
March 26th
2,200 miles of the Appalachian Trail
Raising $2,200 For Clean Water
My name is Dan Oliver and I’ll be hiking the Appalachian Trail with a start date of March 26th! This is my first long-distance thru-hike but I’ve been camping and backpacking my whole life. My personal favorite places to hike are the Adirondack Mountains in New York and the White Mountains in New Hampshire. After a few week-long camping trips this fall I decided that I needed something longer and the Appalachian Trail sounded perfect for this.
Hiking the Appalachian Trail would be impossible without clean water. This is why Dan Oliver is set on raising $2,200 or $1/mile of the AT for clean water.
The Appalachian Trail
The Appalachian Trail is a 2,200-mile trail throughout the eastern United States starting in Georgia and ending in Maine. Hikers will cover 14 states through unique and challenging terrain. Hikers will reach the tallest peaks of the east coast, walkthrough constantly changing forests, and travel through an area with divine history. Enjoy scenic traverses through wooded, pastoral, wild, and culturally resonant lands of the Appalachian Mountains.

Why Clean Water?
Completing The Appalachian Trail would not be possible without clean water. Dan is going to dedicate his hike to make sure more people in the world can have access to clean water. Help him reach his goal of $2,200.
